If you miss our daily features on the radio, you can find them at my webpage this year, so spread the word.
In the Year of Missions, here is today’s update from Mission Network News.
In Thailand, forest fires threatened to destroy a children’s home, but the children prayed, and something happened to spare their home.
On March 19, the Vision Beyond Borders Children’s Home of Thailand received word that forest fires were burning nearby and heading for the orphanage.
The workers sent out urgent prayer requests by e-mail. They moved the children to the top of a hill to protect them. While they were there, a staff member encouraged the kids to start worshipping and praying to God. Even though Thailand was in the midst of their dry season, they trusted God to send rain. Just as the fires were on the verge of surrounding the orphanage, they heard thunder. Then, it started to sprinkle, and then, it started to pour. It rained until the fires were extinguished.
These children have seen the grace of God responding to their prayer for rain. These children still have a shelter. We can pray that this incident will motivate them to rely on Christ with their concerns.

Today’s Mission Statement focuses on pleasing God.
In Second Corinthians 5:9 and 10, the Apostle Paul says, “So we make it our goal to please him (the Lord), whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”
This judgment is for the believers, who will be evaluated on the things we have done while we lived on the earth. Everything done for Christ in this life will be rewarded in heaven. Everything else will be burned. What we do for Christ is like precious metal. It will be refined in the fire, according to First Corinthians 3:12. So, the pleasure of God is a pure motive for the things that we do, whether that involves encouraging a friend or loving our enemy.
That’s today’s Mission Statement for representing Jesus in the world today.
Prophetic Passage of the day, Zechariah 14, verse 9
"The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name."
